The Highland Mint is a full service mint that was established in the early 1980’s. With state-of-the-art facilities housed in a 40,000 square foot building in Melbourne, Florida, their complete services allow them to take any job from start to finish. James Fiorentino
Five Star Memorabilia is pleased to offer original artwork by renowned artist James Fiorentino. We liked him so much we commissioned James to create the original artwork you see as part of the design of our website. James has been commissioned by prestigious companies, galleries, museums, political, entertainment, and sports personalities. James has worked with Yogi Bera, Cal Ripken Jr., Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Greg LeMond, and many additional stars of today. His artistic ability has evolved into more than just a childhood hobby. James has painted and illustrated hundreds of intricately developed works in watercolor and oils since he was a young child. Included in his diverse collection are photo-realistic portraits of sports figures. At the age of fifteen, James was the youngest artist to be featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum for his likeness of Reggie Jackson, which hung beside the paintings of Norman Rockwell and Andy Worhol. His painting commemorating Roberto Clemente is currently featured and will remain in the museum as a part of their permanent collection. It is obvious that a piece by James Fiorentino will impress all who own and view his work.

Mike Floyd
Mike Floyd has been drawing from about the time he could pick up a crayon and hasn’t stopped since. Mike attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. It was there that Mike realized his love of art and worked hard to develop his skills in not just illustration but design and conceptual thinking as well. Upon graduation he moved to Chicago to pursue a career in advertising. For the next 15 years, this would prove to be the perfect blend of illustration, photography, design and conceptual skills. Then, in 1999 Mike and his family moved to Upstate New York, with the plan of becoming a full-time artist. Since Mike is a dedicated sports fan and collector it seems that Mike has found the perfect blend once again. He began by drawing on an old baseball one night in July 2003. Since then, his artwork has developed in great detail. Each ball includes player composites, career statistics, and vintage-photographic-quality illustrations that are created completely by hand. The response to Mike’s work has been overwhelming and his capture of sports-past is greatly appreciated among the serious sports and art collectors.
